What language do they speak in Kazakhstan?

What do people in Kazakhstan think about the immigration of Kazakhs from China?

Kazakhstan

As I see it, in 2014, oralmans (ethnic Kazakh immigrants) from China are often resented in Kazakhstan. Long-time residents of Kazakhstan with a good education often accuse them of being rude, dumb, dirty and uncivilised, having too many kids and being dangerously religious (their opinion, not mine). Their knowledge of traditional Kazakh heritage and language is not appreciated yet.

The lower classes see them as a threat for scarce jobs and housing.

At the same time, oralmans are having a hard time adjusting. Most of them do not speak Russian on arrival and find it hard to integrate in a society that has retained little of traditional Kazakh society's values. They often don't see ethnic Kazakhs born in Kazakhstan as real Kazakhs, finding them instead too Russified.

With limited education and discrimination evident, they find themselves marginalised. It does not help that the promises made to them by the government when they arrived (help with housing, paperwork, money) were often not kept.
